Abstract
In the month of August 2021 articles published in daily Divaina, Sunday Divaina, daily Dinamina, daily Lankadeepa and daily Aruna reported on incidents related to suicide, mentioning the method of suicide. All articles did not mention suicide helplines. Both are violations of media ethical guidelines.
