Abstract
In the month of April 2019, articles published in Lankadeepa, Dinamina, Divaina, Mawbima and Silumina included derogatory terms such as “suddo”, "kuddo", "keleseemata", “kelesuvata” and "ganika"(සුද්දෝ, කුඩ්ඩා, ගණිකා, කෙළෙසීමට, කෙළෙසුවාට) which violates media ethics.
This also included an infographic that compares the use of the term “ganikava” in selected newspapers in 2018.
