Abstract
During the month of August 2018, Sunday Divaina, Divaina, Thinakkural and Mawbima published articles, which contained the ethical violation irrelevantly and negatively highlighting the ethnicity of persons. This also includes an infographic which shows the number of times the newspapers (Divaina, Lankadeepa, Sunday Divaina, Sunday Lankadeepa, Mawbima, Dinamina, Silumina and Sunday Mawbima) mentioned the ethnicity when it is irrelevant to the story and violated the ethical guideline.
