When reporting on the suspects involved in heroin smuggling, while TV Derana highlighted the appearance of the suspect as, "සූරූපී තරුණියක්", Aruna did not highlight the appearance - "සැකකාරිය". In certain instances, news reportage in Aruna included the incorrect terms such as "දූෂණය".
