How young is the newly appointed Cabinet?

Abstract

These infographics show the age groups of the newly appointed cabinet ministers in the 9th parliament. There are 7 ministers in the age group of 30-50 years and 6 ministers in age group of 50-60 years. There are 6 ministers in the age group of 60 years or above. Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara is the youngest (39 years) minister while Foreign Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris is the oldest (75 years) minister in the cabinet.
