    Abstract
    On 13 December, parliament completed proceedings for 2023 with the conclusion of the committee stage debates of Budget 2024. This infographic analysed how parliament utilised their time, including the top 5 MPs that had the highest attendance and performance in parliament. Across 105 sittings, MPs have spent 50,400 minutes in parliament. During 2023, parliament has tabled 53 bills out of which only 25 were passed. MPs also debated several topics, out of which the most discussed topics included Economy & Finance (27.6%); Governance, Administration and Parliamentary Affairs (18.7%); Justice, Defence and Public Order (12%); Urban Planning, Infrastructure & Transportation (8.8%); Trade & Industry (5.8%). MPs with the highest attendance included Dinesh Gunawardena (SLPP), Jayantha Ketagoda (SLPP), Upul Mahendra Rajapaksha (SLPP) and Yadamini Gunawardena (SLPP). Further, the MPs with the most productive contributions included Ranjith Siyambalapitiya (SLPP), Susil Premajayantha (SLPP), Sajith Premadasa (SJB), Lakshman Kiriella (SJB) and Premnath C. Dolawatte (SLPP).
