    Abstract
On 26th April 2024 an article published in the Mawbima newspaper used the term "Malkakula" to describe a minor who died from a paracetamol overdose, which sensationalises the incident. The infographic also included the same news as reported by its sister newspaper, Ceylon Today, which simply described the incident without using any sensationalising terms, in contrast to the unethical reporting.
