Abstract
During the month of July 2023, Sinhala newspapers Mawbima, Aruna, Divaina, Dinamina, Ada, Aruna, Lankadeepa, and Tamil newspaper Thinakaran published several articles which contained the following ethical violations related to suicide reporting; method in headline, method in content, no helplines, prominence, photo of person who died by suicide published, suicide note.
